Hester “Peg” Elizabeth NeSmith Hogue passed away Monday, Feb. 17, 2020.

Hester was born July 7 1926 in Zephyr, Texas, to Solliman and Alpha NeSmith, the oldest of 13 children. She began working in Brownwood, Texas at Camp Bowie on the swithboard before moving to Fort Worth and meeting the love of her life, Robert Hogue. They married 1950 before she began working for Southwestern Petroleum, First National Bank and University State Bank. She retired in 1990 after the birth of her grandson, Robby Beaver. She resided in Lake Worth, Texas for almost 50 years until 2016, moving to Senior Living for the remainder of her happy life as she enjoyed being with her church friends and all her family.

Hester was an avid reader, loved quilting, reading her Bible and being with family. Always Smiling !! She was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother and a dear friend, and lived a long full life, almost achieving her 100th birthday. Hester was a member of Lake Worth Methodist Church for over 50 years.

Hester was preceded in death by her husband, Robert E. Hogue; parents, Sol and Alpha NeSmith; several brothers and sisters; and her son in law, Bradley Beaver.

Survivors: Sons, Terry Hogue (Wayne) of Fort Worth, Charles Hogue (Ilene) of Rhome, Texas; daughters, Tammy Rezabek (Lewis) of Azle, Texas, Wanda White (Martin) of Burleson, Texas; grandsons, Robert Beaver, Charles Hogue, Jr., Robert Hogue, Randall Hogue, and Luke Rezabek; granddaughters, Ashley Beaver, Cindy Hogue, Hannah Lenard, and Madelynn Rezabek; brothers; Joe NeSmith of Lavon, Texas, and Jack NeSmith of Conway Ark.; sisters, Anita Williams of Rockwall, Texas, and Bertha Smith of Mesquite, Texas; and a number of great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
