Danny Glen Jacobs Obituary

Danny Glen Jacobs, age 77, of Terrell, TX, passed away on February 19, 2020. He was born on October 24, 1942, in Santa Fe, NM, to R.D. Jacobs and Oza May (Hill) Jacobs. Danny was a loving husband and father. He was a good man with a great smile. He was the life of the party. Danny never met a stranger and he had a ton of friends. He loved being outdoors. His grandkids called him “Granddaddy”. Danny loved to ride horses and he was a unique cowboy. His family was very important to him. His presence will be deeply missed.

Danny is survived by his loving wife of 34 years: Ruth Jacobs; sons: Danny Milam Jacobs, and Derrick Jacobs and wife Karen; daughter: Hollie and husband Rusty Wilson; grandchildren: Holly, Heather, Cody, Hannah, Lacey, Jessica, Jared, Ian, Michael, Cameron, Andrew, and Zachary; 14 great-grandchildren; sister: Juanita Pettiet and husband Tommy; and a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers: Steve, Norman, Kenneth Jacobs; and sister: Judy Braddy.


A gathering of family and friends will take place on Friday, February 28, 2020, at The Gathering at Rest Haven Funeral Home-Rockwall Location from 7:00 to 9:00 pm. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 pm on Saturday, February 29, 2020, at Reflections at Rest Haven Funeral Home-Rockwall Location. Interment will follow in Rest Haven Memorial Park with a reception to follow at Victory Baptist Church in the fellowship hall, 6651 Colquitt Rd., Terrell, TX, 75160.
