Three arrested, charged with engaging in organized criminal activity, aggravated robbery in Forney

On Friday, January 31, 2020 at about 1:35am, Monterian Pumphrey, an employee of the CEFCO at 899 Pinson Road reported that the store had just been robbed. Pumphrey alleged that an unknown subject wearing a ski mask, hooded jacket, and red backpack, displayed a handgun and demanded money and cigarettes. The subject also threatened unrelated customers as he fled on foot. Officers from the Forney Police Department, Kaufman County Sheriff’s Department, Kaufman County Constables Office Precinct 2, and Texas Department of Public Safety responded and attempted to locate the suspect without immediate success.

Further investigation by officers with the Forney Police Department and Texas Department of Public Safety revealed that Pumphrey conspired with two other individuals to commit the aggravated robbery just described. The two individuals were identified as Jacob Gooch and Hannah Shover. On Wednesday, February 5, 2020, search and arrest warrants were executed which resulted in the recovery of additional evidence and the individuals below being arrested and charged with Texas Penal Code 71.02 Engaging in Organized Criminal Activity-Aggravated Robbery, a First Degree Felony offense.
