UPDATE 2/9/2020

Statement from Joshua’s mother, Shirley Coffee-Parker:

“I want to thank all of you for the deep understanding and prayers. After the excellent research of Elizabeth Ann Pencil, we have discovered that Josh had orchestrated a plan to abandon his children and family and go into hiding, leaving us to think he had drowned. We are very thankful for everyone’s support and the outpouring of love. There are no words to describe we feel. We are deeply sorry for the time and energy wasted on this endeavor. Special thanks to the Rowlett Police Department and all others involved. We have not spoken to Josh nor do we know exactly where he is. He has not been found to date. We do know he was alive as of this morning and we continue to pray for his safe return. Family is all about love. Mistakes are made. Forgiveness is always possible. Josh, if you’re reading this, call your mama. We’ll get through this together. We always do.”
