Steven L. Pendill, age 73, of Nevada, TX, passed away on January 8, 2020. He was born December 12, 1946, in Elkhart, IN, to Roscoe Dean Pendill and Mildred B. (Rentfrow) Pendill. Steve was a loyal, loving, Christian man with a servant’s heart. He loved everyone, especially his kids and GRANDkids. Steve was more commonly known as Papa to everyone. Papa loved using his hands and could fix just about anything. He was quick to listen and slow to speak. Papa will be missed deeply by everyone who loved him.
Steve is survived by his loving wife: Laura P. Pendill; sons: Jeffrey J. Pendill and wife Shelly, and Marc Stanfield and wife Nikki of Nevada, TX; daughters: Michelle Hobbs of Athens, TX, Trisha Graham and husband Jamie, and Kellye Morton and husband Jay of Nevada, TX; grandchildren: Nicole and Caleb, Erik and Sele, Madison, Justin, Jordan and Courtney, Shae, Blaine, Jet, Reagan, Mikaylee, Davis, and Allye; great-grandsons: Angel and Damian; brother: Karl Pendill and wife Evelyn; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by Roscoe Dean Pendill, Mildred B. Loyd, Robert Loyd, and Sue Pendill.
A celebration of Steve’s life will be held at 3:00 pm on Saturday, January 11, 2020, at Wylie First Baptist Church-Draper Chapel, 100 N 1st St, Wylie, TX 75098, officiated by Pastor Clint Bratcher.
