Jerry Lynn Brock Obituary

Jerry Lynn Brock, age 77, a 33 year resident of Rockwall, Texas, passed away on January 14, 2020. He was born on July 28, 1942, in Dallas, Texas to John D. Brock and Mildred (Scudder) Brock.

Jerry didn’t know a stranger. He was friendly to all who met him. He was passionate about business, bowling and praising the Lord. He will be missed dearly by everyone who was blessed enough to know him.

Jerry owned Trinity Auto Parts, which had been in the family for 71 years. He bowled for over 60 years, throwing his last strike in the spring of 2019. Some of his original bowling team members were his dearest friends, bowling with him until he finally hung up his bowling shoes.

Jerry is survived by his loving wife of 56 years, Mary Edith (Farmer) Brock; daughters Becky Lynn Brock and Carla Beth Brock; brothers Donald Brock and Randall Brock. He was preceded in death by his parents and his beloved dogs: Charlie, Mandy, and Maggie.

The family would like to express appreciation to Pathway Hospice for their loving care of Jerry and the family during this difficult time.

A celebration of Jerry’s life will be held at 1:00 P.M. on Saturday, January 25, 2020, in Reflections at Rest Haven Funeral Home – Rockwall Location. A reception will follow the service from 2:00 to 4:00 P.M.
