Update 12/6/19 from Rockwall County Sheriff’s Office

On Thursday, December 5, 2019 at approximately 8:30 a.m., a group of 1st amendment advocates arrived at the Rockwall County Courthouse. The Sheriff’s Office was aware of the group’s intent to conduct a peaceful rally beforehand. Around 9:30 a.m., a small number of those in attendance began defacing county property with what appeared to be colored chalk. Rockwall County Deputies identified those involved and made arrests for Criminal Mischief. The individuals arrested were Lorraine Hendricks of Tucson, Arizona, Kyle Shockley of Tybee Island, Georgia, Patrick Roth of Ferris, Texas, and Christina Phillips of Berryville, Arkansas. The rally continued without further incident until about 5:00 p.m. with the participation ranging from approximately ten to forty people throughout the day.
