Special election to be held to fill vacant seat on the Sachse City Council

The City of Sachse will hold a special election on Jan. 18, 2020, to fill the Place 4 vacancy on the Sachse City Council. The seat became vacant effective midnight, Oct. 14, 2019, when officeholder Bill Adams submitted his resignation. The City Council accepted his resignation on Oct. 21.

The election winner will hold a term of office from the date of election through May 2, 2020, the seat’s current term expiration date. Applications to file for a place on the Special Election Ballot will be accepted now through Nov. 18.

Early Voting will begin on Jan. 2 and end on Jan. 14. All voting will be conducted at Sachse City Hall, 3815 Sachse Road, Building B. For more information, visit https://bit.ly/2pR2yHA or call the City Secretary’s Office at 469-429-4771.
