A zoning application request has been made for the property located across SH66, across from the Woodcreek Main Amenity Center. The applicant is requesting that the property be rezoned from suburban single family to high density single family and multi-family. The proposal includes building 388 single family detached homes with a lot width of 40′ and 45′ and approximately 325 apartment homes. The applicant provided an information packet, which includes the 3 images below. A complete version of the packet is linked at the bottom of this post.

“In order to implement the Avondale vision, a request to rezone the property to a planned development has been made. The property is presently zoned to the Agricultural zoning district. The requested zoning standards primarily follow those established in the Fate Unified Development Code. Slight adjustments to the standards are being requested as part of the rezoning request,” documentation from the developer explains.

The applicant will be presenting to the City of Fate’s Planning and Zoning commission at 6p Thursday, November 21st at Fate City Hall. Woodcreek residents are invited to voice their opinion of this proposed project in person or can email/call in questions or comments directly to Ashley Martin at the City of Fate; [email protected] or 972-771-4601 ext 134.
