Kimberly Kirk Westbrook passed away peacefully October 13, 2019, at her home in Rowlett, TX, at the age of 58, after surviving breast cancer for seven years (which she called “bonus years”). She was born May 11, 1961, in Lubbock, TX, to Ivan W. “Buddy” and Latrelle (Venable) Kirk. Kimberly attended LSU and Harding University in Arkansas, attaining a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration. She was a faithful member of Highland Oaks Church of Christ in Dallas, where she served as office administrator until her retirement. She touched the lives of so many and was dearly loved.
Kimberly is survived by her husband: Andy Westbrook of Rowlett, TX; sons: Kyle Westbrook and wife Taylor of Dallas, TX, and Matthew Westbrook of Rowlett, TX; parents: Buddy and Latrelle Kirk and brother: Kendal Kirk all of College Station, TX; beloved grandson: Owen; and numerous other family and friends.
A Celebration of Life will be held at 3:00 pm, Thursday, October 17, 2019, at Highland Oaks Church of Christ, 10805 Walnut Hill Lane, Dallas, TX 75238, with Pat Bills officiating. A private family burial will follow in Sacred Heart Cemetery in Rowlett. There will be a gathering of family and friends at Rest Haven Funeral Home – Rowlett Location Wednesday from 6:00 to 8:00 pm.
