Due to the proximity of the railroad tracks and the need to run power to the traffic signals by boring under the railroad tracks, Dallas Garland and Northeast Railroad (DGNO) contractors will perform this work – scheduled to begin this week, weather permitting. Once completed, the Bayside contractor and City will begin programming and testing the new signals, which will take about two weeks. During the test phase, the signals will flash yellow to raise awareness before going “live”. Progress may be affected by the weather, we appreciate your patience as we work diligently to complete this project!
Traffic surveys to guide signal timing for this area have been conducted. The timing will be closely monitored after the signals go live and adjusted if necessary.
