Now that this second wave of storme have passed, we are saddened by the damage that has occured in our community. Thankfully reports of injuries are minimal. I want to thank our City employees (Police, Fire, Streets, Parks) and Staff who stepped up and are working throughout the night to clear some of the debris. Oncor and Atmos are also working to restore services.
This map shows roughly the area affected by the tornado. Please try to avoid this area as power lines and trees are down and blocking roadways. The area around Reinhardt Elementary will be particularly problematic this morning.
We will continue to access the damage and will have a better picture of what needs to be done once daylight returns.
