Architecture students at the Dr. Gene Burton College & Career Academy recently traveled to Downtown Dallas to compete in a worldwide Parking Day challenge, where companies, universities and school districts competed to make Parking lot size parks.

“Parking Day is a day all over the world where people turn parking spaces into luscious parks,” said architecture student, Marlin Gentile. “Our theme we chose this year was to create an environmental but interactive park that everyone can have fun while using.”

Students from Rockwall HS and Rockwall-Heath HS came together to create this park.
