From Collin County Sheriff’s Office:
On September 1, 2019 Nevada Fire Department received a structure fire call of smoke showing, and an elderly bed-ridden resident inside the home. Deputy Polk stepped up and heroically assisted in getting that resident out of his hospital bed and to a safe location.
For his actions on that day, Deputy Polk was honored at the Nevada City Council Meeting. Thank you Deputy Polk for your bravery!
