The City of Fate’s annual community celebration, Celebrate Fate, is set for Saturday, September 21, 2019 from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m. at its new location, Fate City Hall, 1900 CD Boren Parkway.

The growth of the community has prompted the shift of the center of Celebrate Fate’s activities to the eastern portion of Robert Smith Family Park, and the circular parking lot of Fate City Hall. This move allows for expanded placement of food and craft vendors and an open firework launching location at Robert Smith Family Park.

Celebrate Fate will feature the live music of Tin Man, a Taste of Fate food sampling, 1,600 free meals from In-N-Out Burger®, and an expanded craft vendor shopping experience. The kid’s activities will include bounce houses, carnival style rides and games, and face painters. Additionally, the new splash pad will be open during the event. To conclude the festivities, fireworks set to music will fill the sky. The first five-hundred event goers can receive a free commemorative 2019 Celebrate Fate t-shirt and swag bag.

A new Bike Derby sponsored by Just Cuz’ Helmets Matter will take place around Robert Smith Family Park. The derby begins at 4 p.m. and ends at 5 p.m., just in time for the beginning of Celebrate Fate.

Bike parking is available in the front parking lot of City Hall. All other parking is available at Miss May Vernon Elementary. Visitors can also utilize the on-street parking.

For the sixth consecutive year, the City has hosted this community wide celebration that includes free activities thanks in large part to the support of event sponsors. This family friendly event began as a way to build community spirit among the longtime residents and the increasing number of new residents that now call Fate home.
