In the midst of below freezing temperatures, some Rockwall residents have been without electricity since the early morning hours. We’re told crews are currently working to restore power, but in the meantime, for those without electricity in their homes, the City of Rockwall has opened The Center (108 E. Washington St.) as a warming station until the power comes back on.
Residents, who are able to travel, are welcome to go to The Center near downtown Rockwall as a refuge. Residents are encouraged to bring a blanket, pillow or other comfort items for the duration.
Please note that the temperatures at The Center are comfortable but not excessively warm. Those without the ability to travel can call 972-771-7740 for assistance.
