Chick-fil-A will be closing its dining rooms to help prevent person-to-person contact in a bid to slow the spread of coronavirus in its locations nationwide.
The company said the move is only temporary and would take different forms at different locations. Some restaurants may only offer service through the drive-thrus while others may offer takeout, delivery or mobile ordering options.
According to a Facebook post from Chick-fil-a in Wylie, reducing person-to-person contact seems to be the best way to protect each other and our community. As the nation navigates this rapidly evolving COVID-19 issue, the health and well-being of the company’s Team Members and Customers remain their top priority. In addition, they will take seriously the role of their restaurants play in supporting local health officials and government leaders as they work to contain the virus.
“We will take all steps necessary to mitigate the spread of any sickness. These steps are intended to protect our Team Members and Customers and are effective immediately for Chick-fil-A Murphy and Chick-fil-A Wylie,” The release said. “We will continue to monitor guidance from the CDC, along with federal, state and local government health officials as we navigate these decisions.”
Chick-fil-a in Rockwall is located at 2835 Ridge Road.
