This afternoon at around 2:20PM, the Dallas Police Department received a 9-1-1 call from a homeowner in the 8200 block of Garland Road, reporting that an armed burglar was inside his home.
Dallas police officers responded to the scene and established a perimeter around the house. SWAT was called in to assist in apprehending the suspect.
SWAT was able to negotiate a peaceful surrender of the suspect inside the home. The burglar was arrested without incident and taken to jail.
There were no injuries reported to the homeowner or any officers.
