There will be a larger than usual law enforcement presence at Rockwall ISD campuses on Monday due to potential protests against law enforcement.
“In an abundance of caution, you may observe additional law enforcement presence on or near campuses on Monday, February 10th. The Rockwall Police Department notified us of individuals who may want to protest local law enforcement at government locations, including the possibility of schools, on Monday,” an email to Rockwall ISD parents read. “We appreciate the support of our local officials, and we want to be sure to communicate with our families the reason for any increase in police presence on Monday. As always, the safety of our students and staff is our top priority.”
