GREENVILLE, Texas — Women In Need (WIN) is excited to invite the community to Hot Havana Nights, its signature annual fundraising event, on Saturday, August 22, at the beautiful Caddo Creek Venue in Greenville.

This year’s event introduces an exciting new location, offering guests an elegant atmosphere in one of Hunt County’s premier venues while providing convenient access just minutes from Interstate 30 for attendees traveling from Hunt, Rockwall, Rains, and surrounding areas.

Hot Havana Nights promises an unforgettable evening featuring dinner, signature cocktails, live entertainment, silent and live auctions, and plenty of opportunities to celebrate with friends and neighbors. But beyond the music and festivities, lies a mission that changes lives every day.

In 2025 alone, WIN provided 13,865 services to survivors of domestic violence and their children across Hunt, Rockwall, and Rains counties. Those services included emergency shelter, crisis intervention, legal advocacy/protective orders, safety planning, housing assistance, food pantry resources, children’s services, and support that helped families begin again after abuse.

“Hot Havana Nights is about so much more than one evening,” said Kristen Ostertag, Executive Director of WN. “Every ticket purchased, every sponsorship, and every auction bid helps ensure that when someone in our community needs safety and support, we’re able to be there. Our community makes all of that possible.”

Domestic violence continues to affect families in every community. According to the National Coalition Against Domestic Violence, more than 12 million people experience intimate partner violence each year in the United States.

For survivors, leaving an abusive relationship is often only the first step. Access to emergency shelter, legal advocacy, counseling referrals, and basic necessities can make the difference between returning to danger and building a future free from violence.

Funds raised through Hot Havana Nights allow WIN to continue providing these life-saving services to local families free of charge.

Guests attending Hot Havana Nights will enjoy an evening filled with incredible food, exciting auctions, live entertainment, and meaningful opportunities to invest in the safety and well-being of our clients.

Community members are encouraged to purchase tickets, become sponsors, or donate auction items to support the event. Every dollar raised stays local, directly benefiting WIN’s programs and the survivors who depend on them.
