Rockwall County, TX – Aug. 10, 2026 – Rockwall Ready is a collaborative coalition of community organizations working alongside the Rockwall County Office of Emergency Management (RCOEM) to coordinate resources effectively before, during, and after disasters.

Recently, an open house was held at the Rockwall Courthouse Annex to warmly welcome residents and introduce them to the organizations that serve Rockwall County. The purpose of this event was to foster a greater understanding of how RCOEM collaborates with local agencies, nonprofits, faith-based organizations, and volunteers during times of crisis.

“This event served two purposes. First, it allowed residents to learn about and connect with community organizations involved in disaster response,” says Emergency Management Coordinator Jarod Rosson. “Second, it was an exercise to practice opening a Multi-Agency Resource Center (MARC), which acts as a one-stop shop for residents affected by a disaster, providing them information about available community resources to aid in their recovery.”

A big THANK YOU to our community partners for participating!
