William Daniel Boone, age 72 of Rockwall, TX, passed away on November 21, 2019. He was born March 1, 1947, in Independence, MO, to William Robert Boone and Mildred (Spinney) Boone. William proudly served his country in the U.S. Air Force, where he discovered his love of cooking. Once honorably discharged in 1969, William moved to Houston, TX, where he worked in the restaurant industry for a few years. He then began his career as a machinist, ultimately retiring to start a machine shop and welding program at Waller High School. The program trained and placed students in machine shop and welding careers. In 2008, William moved to the Dallas area to be closer to his family. A bit of a jokester, he loved his family very much. William was a kind, wonderful man who was loved by everyone and never mistreated a soul in this world.
William is survived by his wife of 46 years: Robbie Boone; son: Gerald Parrish and wife Jennifer; daughter: Melaney Verran and husband David; grandchildren: Maddie, Jake and Jett; sister: Anne Edie; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; sister: Mary Hays; and by his aunt and uncle: Tom and Josephine Boone, who were like parents to him.
A celebration of William’s life will be held at 1:00 pm on Saturday, November 30, 2019, at Chisholm Baptist Church, 1388 S. Highway 205, Rockwall.
