Reinhardt ES third-grade students recently hosted their annual Family Folk Dance Festival. Students have been learning about rhythm, beat and pattern through traditional folk dances in music class.
They’ve practiced taking cues from the music, anticipating what is coming next, collaboration, leadership and team-building skills. Audience members were invited to dance as students taught the background, vocabulary and folk dance movements.
