Dana Sue (Cobb) Hughes, age 71, of Farmersville, TX, passed away on
November 3, 2019. She was born April 17, 1948, in Waco, TX, to Vernon
Wayne Cobb and Sibyl Lee (Butler) Cobb. Dana loved her family more than
anything. She was a devoted mother. She loved every animal except for
snakes. Her grandkids affectionally knew her as “Grandma”. She loved to
cook, make crafts, and read. She baked cakes and enjoyed decorating
them. Dana’s favorite celebrity of all time was Elvis. She will be
deeply missed by her family and friends.
Dana is survived by
her son: Bradley Lynn Hughes and wife Theresa of Royse City, daughter:
Stephanie Manire and husband Lonnie of Greenville, TX; TX;
grandchildren: Nickolas Ray Bolin, Dana Nicole Bolin, and Kinley Anne
Hughes; sister: Stormie Jo McKeown and husband Jimmy of Robinson, TX;
sister-in-law: Georgia Cobb; a host of nieces and nephews; and her
precious dog: Butterball. She was preceded in death by her husband:
Charles Walter Hughes; her parents; and her brother: Gerald Wayne Cobb.
A celebration of Dana’s life will be held at 1:00 Saturday, November
16, 2019, at Reflections at Rest Haven Funeral Home-Rockwall Location
with Minister Randy Welch officiating.
