Pearlie Mae Hamilton Jenkins was born February 12, 1945, to Robert and Lottie Hamilton. She was baptized at an early age at the Greater Shiloh Baptist Church in Waco, TX. She attended Carver High School in Waco, TX, where she was crowned Miss Carver High in 1962 and has remained everyone’s Queen.
Proceeded in death by her father: Robert Hamilton, mother: Lottie Lewis; and brother: Jim W. Hamilton. Pearlie leaves to cherish her memory: Husband: Reverend Phillip Jenkins, Rockwall, TX; three children to the union: Phillip Derek Jenkins, Phyllis Lottina Jenkins both of Rockwall, TX, and Patricia Anita Temple (Thurston Shawn Temple) Mesa AZ; five grandchildren- Phillip D’Carrington Jenkins III, Crandall, TX; Phylicia LaToya Jenkins-Reese, Rockwall TX; Preston D’Andre Temple, Omaha, NE; and Precious Chisoni Temple, Dallas, TX; five great-grandchildren: Promyce Latiya Jenkins-Blakely, Rockwall, TX; Shawn Taylor Temple, Omaha, NE; Pryce D’Wayne Taylor, Rockwall, TX; Precious Lanelle Taylor, Rockwall, TX; Aerionne Lanice Temple, Omaha, NE; two God children- Janeau Noble, Kansas City, MO; Sorrell Wheeler, Dallas, TX; sisters-in-Law- Dorothy Hamilton, Waco, TX; Betty Ballard; Debra Hamilton, Dallas, TX; Brother-in-Law: Jimmy Jenkins, Birmingham, AL; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and extended family.
Funeral services will be held 11:00am Friday, September 23, 2022, at Reflections at Rest Haven Funeral Home-Rockwall location. A gathering of family and friends will take place one hour prior to the funeral service from 10:00am to 11:00am at The Gathering at Rest Haven Funeral Home-Rockwall location.
