William Norris Terrell, age 72, a 45-year resident of Carrollton, TX, passed away August 12, 2022. He was born November 10, 1949, in New Haven, CT, to Mary Ester (Scarborough) and Warren Heman Terrell, Jr. William graduated from Guilford High school of his hometown in 1967. He attended Valparaiso Technical Institute, in Valparaiso Indiana, and graduated with an A.S. in Engineering in 1969. He was employed by General Electric as a Radar technician and was stationed at various Air Force Bases from Shemya, Alaska to Diyarbakir, Turkey. Bill came to stay in Texas in the mid-1970s where the rest of his family was located until he retired from GE. He continued his technical interests for many years after retiring and was known for his can-do and helping personality. His friends recall that he was always there for them to lend an assist no matter the need, or the time needed for the assist. Bill was an intelligent man with a big heart and a great sense of humor. He will be greatly missed by all that knew him. He is with our Lord in peace and pain-free.
William is survived by his sister: Laura Terrell of Rockwall TX; brother: John Douglas Terrell and wife Mary of DE; niece: Kyra Holley; great-niece: Cora also of DE; cousins: Vicky Letson of Dallas and Leisa Kirby of Palestine TX; and close friend: Dale Moore of Carrollton TX. He was preceded in death by his parents.
