On Wednesday, July 20, 2022, at approximately 8:20 AM, Detectives with the Forney Police Department executed a search warrant on a residence in the 1500 block of Wyler Drive in Forney. The search warrant was obtained following an investigation of alleged possession of child pornography. The suspect in the case was arrested earlier the same day on warrants related to the investigation.
Arrested was 39-year-old Christopher Layton of Forney. Layton is charged with 2 counts of third-degree felony possession of child pornography. Layton was arrested without incident and was transported to the Forney Jail where he awaits arraignment. No bond has been set. Further charges are pending.
