Frank Philip Kissinger, 88, of Rowlett, TX, passed away peacefully in his sleep on June 18, 2022. He was born July 16, 1933 in Salt Lake City, Utah, the fourth of five children, to William and Marie Kissinger. Frank was a polio survivor and his fierce will, compassion, and sense of humor carried him almost 89 years in this world.
He is survived by his loving wife Judy, daughter and son-in-law Kim and Robert Ayala of Fort Collins, Colorado, daughter Ginger Adams of Fort Collins, son and daughter-in-law Rick and Lucy Kissinger of Denver, step-son Michael Piccola of Plano, sister-in-law and husband Jane and Johnny Peek of Garland, brother-in-law and wife Don and Sharon Presley of Corinth, as well as 7 grandchildren and many great grandchildren.
Frank was an electrical engineer in his career with Teledyne Geotech, and traveled worldwide for many years. He was a jack-of-all-trades. He could install a toilet, design and cut tile for a custom floor, give the best bear hugs, fix a car, smoke a brisket (he could cook anything deliciously!!), grow tasty tomatoes, tell great jokes, and catch the most (and always the biggest) fish. He was an avid fisherman and loved his time on the lake.
He deeply loved and protected his daughters, counseled his son as he traversed his college years, and was there for advice when anyone asked…and sometimes even when they didn’t! If you disagreed with Frank about something, he didn’t argue. He simply explained why he was right, and that was most of the time…
