Carla Craig, age 79 of Rowlett, TX, passed away November 10, 2021. She was born August 19, 1942, in Midland, TX, to John Carl and Fern (Etheredge) Portis. Carla was a social worker for several years and also taught in the public school system. She was very caring and had a great sense of humor. Married for 61 years, Carla was a loving and devoted wife, mother and friend. She always looked out for her neighbors and took sincere interest in the lives of others.
Carla is survived by her loving husband: Mickey Harold Craig; son: Jeff Craig and wife Robyn; grandchildren: Alex and Haley Craig. She was preceded in death by her parents, daughter Whitney Craig, and brother Herbert “Herbie” Portis.
