It’s FINALLY fall! The weather is cooler, the kids are getting back into the rhythm of school and it’s the time of year when ALL of the fall festivals happen!
We have compiled a list of the upcoming fall events for you! All of the events will also be on our calendar as well!
- The Royse City FunFest is happening Saturday, October 19.
Celebrate 30 years with a full day of fun. There will be vendors, carnival games, bounce houses, train rides, contests, live music by Hat Trick Texas Band on the Main Stage, The Morris Brothers will be preforming in the KidsZone along with lots of local talent, and a special Western GunFight all happening on Oct.19th starting at noon until 6:00pm!
As always there will be the 5k RunFest with a 1 mile FunRun added on. The FunRun will be starting at 9:30am with the 5K RunFest starting at 10:00am.

Back and better than ever! Kick off the party DOWNTOWN! Join us from 3:00-6:00PM for trick or treating, a hay maze in San Jacinto Plaza, pumpkin decorating contest, fortune telling, scary hair, activity booths, carnival eats, Thriller dance class and pet costume parade. Sponsored by Friends of Downtown and Downtown Rockwall Association and supported by Main Street and the Rockwall Parks and Recreation Department. A limited amount of complimentary trick or treat bags available at the information booth in San Jacinto Plaza. Activity Booths will be at the Historic Courthouse. There will be a Trunk or Treat event on Kaufman Street. Maps for Trick-or-Treating will be available at the info booth at the Plaza. Canrival eats and drinks will be available on Kaufman Street in front of Independent Bank. But wait, there’s even more! Here is a rundown of the schedule for the day:- Pumpkin Decorating Contest

4:45PM - Pet Costume Parade – Courthouse Stage

- Pumpkin Decorating Contest
- Head on over to Downtown Wylie for Boo on Ballard on October 24 from 6 to 8pm. Trick or Treat for the kids! Go booth to booth picking up tons of candy and goodies for your children. It’s a blast every year. There will be fun events in the park next to downtown. Good, safe, convenient, community fun! Presented by the Wylie Downtown Merchants Association and the City of Wylie, the downtown trick-or-treat event and festival is a safe alternative for Wylie families as kids can walk through downtown and receive candy and treats from local merchants. The downtown streets are transformed into a Halloween wonderland featuring trick-or-treating, live music, and carnival games. Boo on Ballard is free and is the Downtown Merchants’ way of saying thank-you to the community for its support and patronage throughout the year.
- Fate definitely does not get left out of the October festivities! Fate DPS is hosting an Open House and Fall Festival on Thursday, October 31. Fate DPS is located 128 E Fate Main Place.
- The Village of Rowlett is hosting a Trunk or Treat along with a Scarecrows on Main event on Saturday, October 26 from 5 to 8 pm. There will be a trunk or treat, food trucks, a Harry Potter themed kids area and games, vendors and more. There will be a family costume and mummy wrapping contest, a showing of Hocus Pocus, and the Scarecrows on Main will be out. - Don’t forget about the Heath Farmers Market! It is held every Saturday until November 30 from 2 to 6pm.
- First United Methodist Church is hosting their Family Fall Festival on October 26 from 4 to 6pm. Come and spend the afternoon at First United Methodist Church of Heath! Hay Ride, Food, Petting Zoo and much more. Fun for all ages! First United Methodist Church is located at 140 Smirl Drive in Heath
- Eastridge Church of Christ in Rockwall is hosting their second annual Fall Festival on Saturday October 26 from 3:30 to 6pm. There will be Trunk-or-Treating complete with a Trunk Decorating Contest, as well as a Chili Cook-Off. Awards be presented to the Trunk that is Most Creative, Most Boo-tiful, Most Elaborate, and the Best Collaboration. Awards will also be presented to the Chili that is Spiciest, Best with Beans, and the Best without Beans. If you wish to participate in either of these two competitions, please sign-up at the table in the Foyer or see the Facebook event for more information. There will be a face painting, yard games, a photo area, and more. The church asks that you bring your own candy to pass out and have your car parked in the parking lot by 3:15 pm. You can come early in order to decorate your trunk, but for safety reasons you will need to be parked before Trunk-or-Treating can begin.
- Lake Pointe Church in Rockwall is hosting a Special Needs Fall Festival on October 19 from 10am to 1pm. It is a FREE event that any family that has been touched by special needs can attend. This event is open to the entire family! Come for a fun day of carnival games, crafts, bounce houses, train rides, face painting, lunch and so much more!
- Church in the City is hosting a Fall Festival on October 31st at 6pm. The event is open to the public! It’s a safe and fun experience for you and your family! Games! Fun! Food! And more!
- Last, but certainly not least, the Pumpkin Patch at Blase Family Farm is open now through October 31. They are open Monday thru Friday 9am to 6pm, 10am to 6pm on Saturday and 12 noon to 6pm on Sunday.
