Albert Coleman, Jr. age 61, of Heath, TX, passed away September 4, 2021. He was born December 31, 1960, in Port Arthur, TX, to Albert Coleman, Sr. and Letha (Lewis) Coleman. Albert grew up in Port Arthur, where he attended Thomas Jefferson High School. He proudly served his country in the U.S. Army, and later moved to Garland, TX, where he lived for many years until moving to Heath in 2018. A man of strong Christian faith, Albert was a member of Shoreline City Church in Garland and enjoyed a career in the healthcare supply industry.
In his spare time, Albert loved playing golf, bicycling and working in his yard. He was an excellent barbeque chef, and loved cooking for his family and spending time with them. He was a huge Dallas Cowboys fan and loved watching football.
Albert is survived by his beloved wife: Gale Coleman of Heath, TX; children: Wa’keisha Chase and husband Matthew of Forney, TX, Chelsea Shead and husband Dustin of Heath, TX, Britnie Coleman of Dallas, TX, Dar’sheikqua Coleman of Paris, TX, and Albert Coleman III of Heath, TX; mother: Letha Coleman; grandchildren: McKinley Chase, Myles Chase and Daxton Shead; sisters: Tamara Brannon and husband Dave of San Antonio, TX, Daphne Lewis and husband Anthony of Mansfield, TX, and Deborrah Thomas of Beaumont, TX; and numerous other relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00pm, Saturday, September 11, 2021, at Reflections at Rest Haven Funeral Home-Rockwall Location with Pastor Dave C. Brannon III officiating. Interment will follow in Rest Haven Memorial Park. A gathering of friends and family will be held Saturday afternoon, prior to the service, beginning at 1:00pm.
