Velma Jo Rodgers, age 88, and long-time resident of Rockwall, TX, passed away June 22, 2021. She was born March 13, 1933, in Fort Worth, TX, to Edgar Harmon Fritchman and Velma Jo (Edwards) Fritchman. Velma Jo was a member of First United Methodist Church. She will be deeply missed by those who knew and loved her.
Velma Jo is survived by her sister: Carolyn Kennedy; niece: Leslie Peoples and Dr. Dusan Damjanovic and their son: Alexander James; nephew: Dr. James Peoples and his sons: James and Collin Peoples; grandchildren: Leslie Kirby and husband Shane, Jessica Rodgers and John Kuykendall, and Jacob Rodgers; and great-grandchildren: Vanessa Cato, Holly Kirby, and Travis and Hunter Kuykendall. She was preceded in death by her husband: Jack Rodgers; sons: Steven Lee Rodgers, David Jack Rodgers and infant twin sons, Will and Rob Rodgers; niece: Mary Jane Winter; and by her parents.
Graveside services will be held at 1:00pm, Friday, June 25, 2021, at Laurel Land Memorial Park in Fort Worth, TX.
