✏️ Featured Author: Alex Lerner (Age 9)

📍 The Preserve, Rockwall

Topic: Why People Should Be More Patriotic

Alex’s Paragraph (typed for clarity):

“I believe people should be more patriotic! We live in the best country ever! Being patriotic brings people together. The U.S.A. is beautiful and has a great culture. The Americans are free. Please show your patriotism by reciting the pledge and taking care of the U.S.A.”

🌟 “Meet the Author”

Alex chose patriotism as his persuasive writing topic because he genuinely loves America and wishes more people would show appreciation for the freedoms we enjoy.

His favorite part of living in Rockwall is his neighborhood and the nature that surrounds it — especially the trees, which feel special to him after moving here from Illinois four years ago.

When asked what one word comes to mind when he thinks about America, Alex answered instantly:

“Freedom.”

❤️ A Community Encouragement

We are proud to feature Alex as a young writer using his voice in a positive and uplifting way. Patriotism rooted in gratitude and community spirit is a value worth celebrating — and we’re glad he shared it with Rockwall.
