Rockwall, TX – January 24, 2025 – Rockwall Community Playhouse (RCP), a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, is thrilled to announce a monumental milestone in its 30-year history of bringing quality theatre and enriching cultural experiences to Rockwall County. With the recent purchase of additional property adjacent to its current site, RCP is planning a new state-of-the-art theatre complex to better serve the community and expand its impact.
Since May 1998, RCP has operated from an intimate 84-seat venue just east of downtown Rockwall. Over the years, the organization has staged over 250 productions, including Mainstage & Shakespeare performances, teen productions, children’s summer musicals, workshops, and more. This new facility will enable RCP to continue its mission of delivering exceptional theatre, expanding community engagement programs, and providing a welcoming space for all.
