ROCKWALL COUNTY – Weather permitting, the following traffic impacts are scheduled as part of an ongoing improvement project:
- All lanes of eastbound I-30 at FM 35 will be closed from 10 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 6 through 5 a.m. Friday, Feb. 7. Traffic will be detoured to the frontage roads.
- All lanes of FM 35 at I-30 will be closed from 10 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 6 through 5 a.m. Friday, Feb. 7. Traffic will be locally detoured.
- All lanes of westbound I-30 at Horizon Road will be closed from 10 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 12 through 5 a.m. Thursday, Feb. 13. Then again, from 10 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 16 through 5 a.m. Monday, Feb. 17. Traffic will be detoured to the frontage roads.
- All lanes of eastbound I-30 at Horizon Road will be closed from 10 p.m. Monday, Feb. 17 through 5 a.m. Tuesday, Feb. 18.
- Horizon Road and Ridge Road at I-30 will be closed from 10 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 12 through 5 a.m. Thursday, Feb. 13. Then again, from 10 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 16 through 5 a.m. Monday, Feb. 17 and 10 p.m. Monday through 5 a.m. Tuesday, Feb. 18. Traffic will be detoured.

As a part of the $348 million I-30 corridor expansion project, I-30 will widen and add continuous frontage roads throughout Rockwall County. The other $313 million I-30 corridor expansion project, will add new frontage road bridges across Lake Ray Hubbard from Dalrock Road and SH 205. The work is part of TxDOT’s Texas Clear Lanes effort to relieve congestion in major metropolitan areas.
