City of Rowlett Announces ReNissa Wade as a New Assistant City Manager

ROWLETT, TEXAS — The City of Rowlett is excited to announce the hiring of ReNissa M. Wade as the new Assistant City Manager. Beginning January 21, 2025, Ms. Wade will oversee various city departments, contribute to strategic planning, and work closely with the City’s leadership team to enhance the quality of services to Rowlett residents. 

“We are thrilled to welcome ReNissa to the team,” said City Manager David Hall. She brings over 25 years of experience and dedication to public service and we can’t wait to see what she contributes to the citizens of Rowlett.” 

Ms.Wade has served as the Assistant City Manager for the City of Jacksonville, Texas since June 2022. She has worked in local government since 1998 and has served in several capacities including Budget Director, Human Resource Director, Risk Manager and Managing Director for the City of Tyler, and is an experienced local government leader responsible for managing multiple departments through the years including Human Resources, Benefits, Risk Management, Volunteer Tyler, Finance, Municipal Court, Information Technology, Housing Choice Voucher, Community Development Block Grant, Tyler Transit, Tyler Airport, Water, Wastewater, Traffic, Streets, and Engineering. She holds a Master’s in Public Administration from the University of Texas at Tyler and a Bachelor’s in Business Administration from the University of Houston-Victoria.
