Rockwall, TX — August 27, 2024 – The holiday season is approaching, and with it comes the much-anticipated “Santa at Standard” event, a cherished annual tradition in Rockwall County. Hosted in partnership with Standard Service and local small businesses, this event is dedicated to raising toys and awareness for the Toys for Tots (T4T) campaign, benefiting the less fortunate children in our community.

“Santa at Standard” offers a family-friendly environment filled with holiday festivities, all while supporting a noble cause. Attendees can look forward to a fun-filled evening featuring bounce houses, gingerbread house building stations, and, of course, photos with Santa Claus himself. The goal of this event is to bring the community together to collect toys and raise funds for the Toys for Tots campaign, ensuring that every child in Rockwall County experiences the joy of Christmas.
Last year, the community rallied together to make a significant impact, collecting nearly 7,000 toys, books, and stocking stuffers, which were distributed to over 1,900 children. Additionally, the campaign raised over $25,000, with $21,000 directly benefiting local non-profit organizations such as LoneStar CASA, the Children’s Advocacy Center, Women in Need, and Rockwall Helping Hands.
“Our mission is to positively impact the lives of less fortunate children during the Christmas holiday by bringing the community together,” said Jeff Skinner, Coordinator of Rockwall Toys for Tots and a former Marine. “Every child deserves a Christmas, and we’re passionate about ensuring the entire Rockwall County is aware of that mission.”

About Rockwall Toys for Tots:
Rockwall Toys for Tots is part of a national program run by the U.S. Marine Corps Reserve which distributes toys to children whose parents cannot afford to buy them gifts for Christmas. The program was founded in 1947 and has since become an avenue of hope for families in need during the holiday season.
