Nell Sue Mitchell, age 79, of Fate, TX, passed away September 4, 2022. She was born March 21, 1943, in Sulphur Springs, TX, to Mattie (Pickle) and Gus Leland Chase. Nell was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother who loved watching hummingbirds, collecting bunny rabbits, growing flowers, reading books and sharing pictures with her family.
Nell is survived by her children: Virgil Mitchell, Darrell Mitchell and wife Dora, Penny Andreu, James Mitchell and wife Joyce, and Nadine Davis and husband Tom; a total of 31 wonderful grand and great-grandchildren; sisters: Edith Crawford and husband Roy, Connie Evelyn Chase and Electra Miller; brothers: Ronnie Chase and wife Kathy, and Larry Chase; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband: Joe Mitchell; her parents; sisters: Helen Ruth Sellers and Nora Jane Baxley; and brothers: Coley Jack Chase and Tom Chase.
A night of remembrance will be held from 6:00pm to 8:00pm Friday, September 9, 2022, at The Gathering at Rest Haven Funeral Home- Rockwall Location.
