Janetta Beth “Jan” Young Burks was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, aunt, sister and friend. She passed away on August 6, 2022, at the age of 86. Jan was born on April 26, 1936, in Cooper, TX, to Coy and Bessie Marie Young.
Jan was retired from the Antique business. She enjoyed many trips to antique shows, Canton Flea Market and treasure hunts. Jan was always taking care of others before herself. She loved her family and friends dearly and they loved her.
Jan is survived by her son: Randy Hullum and wife Kathy of Lone Oak, TX; granddaughter: Tichia Barrow and husband Lance, and great-grandson Walker of Forney, TX; special niece: Terry Silvey of Rowlett, TX; great-niece: Kelly Walker and husband Zak, and son Landon of Caddo Mills, TX; special family: Sean Powell and wife Michelle, and their children Lexy and Landry of Heath, TX; special cousins: Terry Miller and wife Patti and family of Rowlett, TX. Jan was preceded in death by her daughter: Jana Lynn Burks; and husband: Leland Burks.
Funeral services will be held 2:00pm Friday, August 12, 2022, at Reflections at Rest Haven Funeral Home-Rockwall location. Interment will follow in Rest Haven Memorial Park. A gathering of family and friends will take place from 6:00pm to 8:00pm Thursday, August 11, 2022, at The Gathering at Rest Haven Funeral Home-Rockwall location.
