Jacob Edward Dunson, 26, of Rockwall, Texas, passed from this life on August 25, 2022. Born on February 12, 1996, in Dallas, Texas, to Steven Dunson and Tiphannie Willie Clements.

Jake started his early education in Forney, Tx and graduated in 2014 at Phoenix Charter School in Greenville, Tx. Jake was known for his big smile and big heart for family and friends. Growing up he spent lots of time with his grandparents, brothers and sisters. He loved meeting new friends, good food, traveling, nature, animals, especially our family pets, Willie, Bella, Clemmie and Saylor. He had a passion for arts, painting and enjoyed outdoor walks. He was raised in church between First Baptist Church Forney and Forney Baptist Church and recently visiting Lake Pointe Church Rockwall.

Left to treasure their memories, parents: Tiphannie Willie Clements, Steven Dunson and wife Candy; siblings: Dylan Clements, Austin Clements, Grace Dunson, Chandler Romero and husband Raphi, Carmen Choate; grandparents: Carlos and Sybil Dunson, Becky Willie and partner Mark Feinman, Mary Allen; aunts: Carla Gerlich, Jennifer Grimes and husband Chris, Anissa Willie, Lexie Willie Bruner and family, uncles: Reverend Jimmy Allen and wife Anita. Michael Allen and wife Debbie, Dale Allen, niece: Oakley Romero; and cousins: Nicole Schweizer and husband Eric, Ginger Hilton, Savannah Willie Roland and husband Michael, Nate Ivie, Gavan Ivie, Bryan McReynolds and wife Rebe, Jeff Gerlich, Sarah Gerlich, Emily Gerlich, Ben Gerlich; great-uncles: Edgar Cotton and wife Linda, Don Stoy and Willann; great-aunts: Yvonne Ross and husband Duff, Norma Tackett; along with a host of friends and loved ones who will all miss him dearly. Jake was preceded in death by his great-grandparents: Mitch Allen and Sgt. Sandra Penney, Dorothy and Leo Willie, William and Eula Dunson, V.O. and Jimmie Nix; grandfather: Leslie Willie; aunt: Cathy Wheeler; uncles: Bill Allen, Michael Bruner, Charlie Gerlich; and great-aunt: Frankie Fair.

A memorial service to honor Jake’s life is to be held on Wednesday, September 7, 2022, at 1:00 PM, in Reflections Chapel at Rest Haven Funeral Home – Rockwall location, with Rev. Jimmy Allen officiating.
