Betty Jane “Janie” (Soward) Wesberry, age 89, passed away August 31, 2022. She was born October 28, 1932, in Goodland, TX, to Jack and Ruby Tidwell. Janie enjoyed playing cards, music, dancing, and loving Tinkerbell. She was a devout Christian lady. Her family was important to her, she loved them dearly. Janie was an amazing daughter, sister, cousin, aunt, wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother or better known as “Mee-Maw”.
Janie is survived by her children: Mike Soward, Shelley Roberts and husband Lucky, Scott Soward and wife Donna, and Misty Wesberry; grandchildren: Heath Soward and fiancé’ Michelle, Cody Baker and wife Elizabeth, Kelly Baker, Shannon Ellington and husband John, Brandon Nunez and wife Holly, and Casey Cameron; great-grandchildren: Kaitlynn and fiancé Payton, Tristan, Gracie, Tabitha, Keith, Bradley, Tabor, and Charlie; and a host of nieces, nephews, and friends. She was preceded in death by her first husband: John Soward; second husband: Windell Wesberry; parents: Ruby and Jack Tidwell, brothers: Gaston, Durrell, and Orlon; sisters: Pauline, Audrey, and Mary; step-daughter, Marcie Robertson; and other family and friends.
A graveside service will be held 11:00am Tuesday, September 6, 2022, at Royse City Cemetery in Royse City, TX.
