Pamela Cherylene Smith, age 75, of Garland, TX, passed away June 1, 2022. She was born November 27, 1946, in Cleburne, TX, to Zetta Mae (Laird) and Venable George Redd. Pamela was a feisty woman with a strong personality. In her younger days, she loved fishing and hunting (dove, deer, etc.). She loved country music. Pamela was fiercely protective of her kids when threatened, we had a mean neighbor who learned that firsthand. She was short and skinny but she didn’t shy away from anyone, even if they were twice her size, she was that way to the end. Even at 75 years old she had no problem speaking her mind or sticking up those skinny little arthritic fists. Pamela loved her family and will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
Pamela is survived by her daughter: Cheryl Lynn Cowger and husband Gary; son: Marvin Cecil Smith, Jr.; grandchildren: Michael Lynn Wall, Garron Wesley Longley Wall, Thomas Lafayette Cowger II, and Cecil Wayne Smith; and great-grandchildren:.Cecil Wayne Smith Jr., Gage Waylon Wall, Addilyn Rose Smith, Riley Jane Wall, and Zoey Lynn Wall. She was preceded in death by her parents; and sister: Cynthia Ann Butler.
A celebration of Pamela’s life will be held at 1:00pm Saturday, June 18, 2022, at Reflections at Rest Haven Funeral Home-Rockwall, TX. A reception will follow the service in The Gathering at Rest Haven Funeral Home-Rockwall location.
