Barbara Joy (Glasscock) Schreiber, 89, of Honey Grove, Texas, passed from this life on June 25, 2022. Barbara was born on May 8, 1933, to Clarence James Glasscock and Velma Jane (Starnes) Glasscock, in Randolph, Texas. Barbara was a devoted wife, mother and Granny. She was married to Robert for 65 years before his passing in 2016. They made their home and raised their two children together in Dallas, TX. Barbara was a long-time member of Bethel Lutheran Church, and a God loving Christian woman. Barbara loved spending time with her family. Most of her life was spent as a homemaker. She loved making grilled cheese, fudge, and oatmeal cookies. Though she lived her last few years on Earth with Alzheimer’s, we are thankful for the assurance she is in heaven and reunited with Robert.
Barbara is survived by her children: Jerry Schreiber and wife Glenda, Sharon Reed; grandchildren: Roger, Mollye, Suzanne, Kristin, Kelsey; great-grandchildren: Stephen, Alexis, Addison, Annalise, Nolan, Ian, Ryder, Lane, and Wyatt. Barbara was preceded in death by her loving husband, Robert Schreiber; her parents: Clarence and Velma Glasscock; sister: Betty White; and brothers: Johnny Glasscock, Jack Glasscock, Joe Glasscock, and Weldon Glasscock.
A graveside service is to be held on Thursday, June 30, 2022, beginning at 1:00 PM at Grove Hill Memorial Park and Cemetery in Dallas, Texas.
