Shirley Lucille (Whaley) Davis, a long-time resident of Rockwall, Texas, passed away April 15, 2022, at the age of 84. She was born January 14, 1938, in Wolfe City, Texas, to James Wilson Whaley and Dimple Lucille (Duncan) Whaley.
Shirley was a football sweetheart for Rockwall High. Shirley always put others ahead of herself as she was a very caring and giving person. She was all about family as she cherished her family deeply. She loved to crochet and sew. She was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother. Shirley will be missed deeply.
Shirley is survived by her children: Lauri Pesina and husband Adam, Lisa Jennings and husband Shane, Bradley Davis; grandchildren: Brittany, Chelsea, Zachary, Jenilee, Brady, Brett; and 9 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 62 years, Granville Eugene Davis; and daughter: Karen Lynn Davis.
Funeral services are to be held on Thursday, April 21, 2022, beginning at 10:00 AM at Reflections Chapel at Rest Haven Funeral Home – Rockwall location, with burial to follow in Rockwall Memorial Cemetery. A gathering of friends and loved ones will take place on Wednesday, April 20, 2022, from 5:00 PM – 7:00 PM, at Rest Haven Funeral Home – Rockwall location.
