Tracey Lynn (Roberts) Parikh, age 62, lost her lifelong battle on 03/25/2022. She was born to Ilena Edmunds on November 26th, 1959 in Marion, Ohio, and spent much of her adolescence living in Michigan. Tracey was the picture of strength and perseverance her entire life beginning from childhood. Her courage during the difficult times she endured was a trait admired by many.
From Michigan, she followed the love of her life, Sam, to Texas in 1986. She eagerly adopted the southern culture, warm weather, and eventually the local sports teams. Go Rangers!
Tracey was a loving partner, daughter, sister, and friend to many, but being a mother was her favorite role. Her children and grandchildren brought a deep sense of purpose into her life, and together they created memories she always held close to her heart. Some of her favorites included traveling with her family, being involved in her children’s schoolwork, and even doing most of their science projects. She had a passion for animals, music, gardening, and was a collector of many things. She could be described as an incredibly creative soul, a free spirit, artistic, feisty, and witty even during her last days. There was never a dull moment with Tracey around, especially if there was music playing. So all you fly mothers, get on out there and dance!
She is survived by Sam Parikh, her ex-husband, life partner, best friend, and caregiver during her last years who she loved and appreciated with every fiber of her being; her three very different and successful children, Nicole Spencer (42), Ron Parikh (35), and Monisha Parikh (32), whom she passed on her feistiness to; her three beautiful grandchildren and all of her granddogs. She is also survived by her siblings, Doug Roberts, Renay Haag, and Donny Edmunds, and numerous other family members who loved her deeply. She was predeceased by and will be joining her loving grandmother, Helen Miller, mother, Ilena Edmunds (July 25, 1942 – January 19, 2022), step-brother, Brian Edmunds, and her two quirky dogs, Pookey and Grace.
Please join us for a celebration of her beautiful life that will take place on April 2nd at 3pm at Rest Haven Funeral Home Rowlett. There will be a gathering of family and friends beginning at 2pm.
