Manuel P. Cordova, 85, loving father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, uncle and friend went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, February 1, 2022. Manuel was born on March 6, 1936, in Austin, Texas, to Melecio Cordova and Visitacion Padilla Cordova. Manuel was married to Delores Deases and they lived a wonderful life together. Manuel held many different jobs during his long life including carpentry, welding and machinist positions.
He is survived by his three children, Ruby Flores of Red Oak, Texas, Manuel Cordova Jr. and daughter-in-law Darla of Garland, Texas and Grace Lyons and son-in-law Dan of Wolfe City, Texas. He has five grandchildren – Ricky Flores of Whitney, Texas, Joshua Flores of Red Oak, Texas, Jessica Flores of Red Oak, Texas, Amanda Khan of College Station, Texas and Hillary Cordova of Garland, Texas. He has seven great grandchildren: Emma Flores, Zoey Flores, Ricky Flores, Jr., Donald Flores, Payton Flores, Sophia Flores, Ava Flores. He is also survived by his brother Arturo Cordova and sister-in-law Modesta Cordova of Sinton, Texas, and sisters Maria Nevarez of Ft Worth, Texas, Olivia Rangel of Illinois, Camila and brother-in-law Rey Franco of New Caney, Texas, Elisa and brother-in-law Juan Redraza of Garland, Texas, and Virginia and brother-in-law Don Graham of Van Alstyne, Texas. Manuel is preceded in death by his loving wife Delores, his son Ricky, his sisters Francisca and Anita, his brother Juan and his parents.
Graveside services will be held at the Big A Cemetery in Rowlett, Texas at 11am on Friday, March 4, 2022 for his loved ones and friends.
