George Ramon Murphy was called home on February 22, 2022. He was born June 26, 1933, in Amarillo, TX, to George Murphy and Bertie (Wells) Murphy. Ramon married Hilda Middlebrooks on December 28, 1954, and they both graduated from TCU in May, 1955. He loved serving his country as a navigator in the United States Air Force for six years before being honorably discharged and going into business.

Ramon was faithful to his Savior and Lord, Jesus Christ, to his wife of over 63 years, and to his family. Ramon greatly impacted those who were blessed to know him. He honored God in his family, in his local churches, faithfully serving as a Deacon, and in Bible Study Fellowship where he served as a leader for many years. He was always happiest when surrounded by family and friends and when serving others.

Ramon is survived by four children: Kathleen Piatkowski of Houston, Kerry Murphy of Grand Prairie, Lisa Moeller (and husband Mark) of Richmond, and Sid Murphy (and wife Tanya) of Rockwall; by his six grandchildren: Drew Piatkowski (wife Kelsi), Laura Tritton (husband Brett), Nathan Moeller (wife Larissa), Ryan Moeller (wife, Bri), Courtney Asbill (husband Alex), and Kelsie Wible (husband Aaron); by his great-grandchildren: Kinley, Emma, and Ellie; Bryson and Adelyn; James; Jaxon; and on the way: Murphy and Zoey; and by his sister Beth Salim (husband Mike) of Dumas. He was preceded by his beloved wife: Hilda Murphy; sister: Suzanne Brandon; and by his parents.

Memorial and worship service will be held 1:30 pm Friday, March 11, 2022, at Reflections at Rest Haven Funeral Home-Rockwall Location, with Dr. Jim Henry (known to the Murphy family as Brother Jim) officiating. Ramon is already rejoicing with and worshiping his Savior and Lord, Jesus Christ, in heaven. The family rejoices in that certainty. His body will be laid to rest at DFW National Cemetery before family, prior to the memorial and worship service.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you consider giving to the U.S. Air Force Aid Society (https://portal.afas.org/donate) or to Revere Court of Rockwall (https://www.assistedlivingcenter.com/facilities/tx/rockwall/revere-court-of-rockwall-75032).
