Officers from the Sachse Police Department were dispatched to a creek area near the 4500 block of Merritt Road where possible human remains were reported.
On Saturday, February 26, at approximately 5:50pm, officers made contact with the owner of the property where the remains had been located. The remains were discovered by a contracting crew during land maintenance and clearing for the landowner. The remains were secured by the officers and turned over to the Dallas County Medical Examiner’s Office for examination and identification.
Sachse PD and other law enforcement resources are searching the area for additional remains of the individual.
