Mona Doris (Lewis) Rodrigues, 66, of Heath, Texas, passed from this life on January 2, 2022. Mona was born to Alphonsus Charles Lewis and Serrah Ann (D’Souza) Lewis in Lonavala, India, on October 18, 1955.
Mona was a devoted mother and grandmother. She enjoyed sculpting her art, being an author, and being a scholar of anything she put her mind to. She was a beautiful soul and was warm to all. She loved to laugh and have a good time with family and friends but had a deep, philosophical side that only a few were exposed to. She had a quirky sense of humor that you couldn’t ignore! She will be dearly missed, but is now joyously laughing and dancing with the Ultimate Philosopher.
Survivors include her daughter, Rachel Nisha Dube and husband Nkosi; grandchildren: Thandie and Elijah Dube; brother: Danny Lewis; ex-husband: Julius Rodrigues; and cousins: Dylan, Tanya, Mitzi, Merrill and Mark. She is preceded in death by her parents, Charles and Ann Lewis; aunts: Dolly Claire and Flo D’Souza; and uncles: Archie Claire and Alex D’Souza, Matthew D’Souza, Joe D’Souza, Xavier D’Souza, Noel D’Souza.
A funeral service has been set for 10:00 AM on Sunday, January 9, 2022, in Reflections Chapel at Rest Haven Funeral Home in Rockwall, Texas, with Pastor Noman Chimunda officiating.
