Hilbert Lander, age 87 of Weatherford, TX, was born June 18, 1934, and passed away January 1, 2022. Hilbert was a hard-working man who could build or repair anything. During his lifetime, he was a plumber, an electrician and a carpenter and, while employed with the telephone company, operated a backhoe. He was also self-employed for a time. Hilbert loved his family most of all and will be deeply missed.
He is survived by his son: Kenneth Smith and wife Leona of Weatherford, TX; stepson: Ricky Smith of Clara, OK; nephew: James Black of Waco, TX; and nine grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife: Juanita Lander; his parents; and his good friend and employer of 20 years: Dr. Bruce Swanson.
Graveside services will be held 1:00pm, Thursday, January 20, 2022, with Pastor Roger Ratliff officiating.
